“Wonderful experience. Very impressed with this 100% volunteer-run organization that does all it can to provide well-deserved retirement, enrichment and loving care for this creatures. Detailed backgrounds are written about each animal that helps you understand what their lives were before coming to the sanctuary and helps educate you on the impact a person’s (or corporation’s) decisions have on living creatures. The dedicated volunteer caretakers were so informative and took the time to share their experiences, connections with the animals, and much more. We saw all the animals treated with utmost respect and understanding for their intelligence, emotionality. It was a very positive experience and I would recommend it to anyone who loves animals and would like to support the ongoing care for this creatures who have gone through so much at our hands. It could be easy for someone to just see “animals in cages” but you have to take time to look deeper. There is love, heartbreak, compassion , mutual respect, dignity, education and nurturing safety.”

The volunteers at this sanctuary are so kind not only to the animals they care for but to visitors as well. If it were not for this sanctuary most if not all of these animals would not survive in the wild. We loved every minute here and plan to go back.”
